D_2 - 6 (2006)

D_2 was formed in 1999 by Dimitar Karnev - guitar and Dicho Hristov - vocals. The band comprised of Krasimir Todorov - keyboards, Alexander Obretenov - bass, Yavor Alexandrov - drums, Desislav Semerdjiev - percussion.
With Dicho as frontman the band has two albums released - “Ledeno momiche” (Ice Girl), 2000 and “2002”, 2002
D_2's first song "Ne moga da spra da te obicham" (I Can't Stop Loving You) gained popularity even before their first album was released. The song reached:
» several weeks on the No. 1 position in “Bulgarina Top 100”
» included in the chart of the “Egoist” magazine – The 10 BG-songs of the 1990;
» four weeks in first position in the video clips chart of “Melo TV mania” program broadcast by Channel 1 of the Bulgarian National Television;

The second song recorded by D_2 - “Ledeno momiche” (Ice Girl), achieved the following tributes:

The third song of D_2 from “Ledeno momiche” (Ice Girl) album – “Two traces” stayed 7 weeks in first position in “Bulgarian top 100” chart.
D_2 won the debut award and was nominated “band of the year” at the Annual Musical Awards of MM television for 1999.
D_2 won “band of the year” and “album of the year” award at the Annual Musical Awards of MM television for 2000.
D_2 won “band of the year” award at the Annual Awards of “Melo TV mania” music- show for 2000.
D_2 won “hit of the year” award with the song “Ledeno momiche” (Ice Girl) at the Annual “Forte” Awards of the Bulgarian National Television for 2000.
D_2 won “band of the year” award and “best live performing band” at the Annual Musical Awards of BG Radio and “Forte” for 2001.
The Album “Ledeno momiche” (Ice Girl) is the musical product with the topmost sales on Bulgarian market for the last seven years.
The song “You and I” – a product of the cooperation between D_2 and BG Radio stayed 5 weeks in first position in “Bulgarian top 100”. The concert – promotion of this song was held on 25 June 2001 at “Batenberg” square. According to the information supplied by the organizers of the concert 10 000 people were present.
The pilot single from D_2’s second album – “2002” – “Some day” achieved the following tributes:

D_2 won “original music” award at Annual Musical Awards of “Melo TV mania” music-show for 2002.
D_2 won “band of the year” award at the Annual Musical Awards of BG Radio for 2002.
D_2 won “hit of the year” award with the song “Sto godini” (100 years) at the Annual Musical Awards of BG Radio for 2002.
D_2 won “album of the year” award at the Annual Musical Awards of BG Radio for 2002.

In 2004 D_2 was invited by The Bulgarian Football Union (BFU), BG Radio and Ministry of Youth and Sports to compose and play The Official Song of The Bulgarian Soccer Team.

D_2 won the “Best live band” prize on the Annual BG Radio Awards in 2005.

The song D_2 and Deo “Tova Sme Nie” (That's Us) stepped directly to 4th place in MTV's “World chart express” along with stars like Jeniffer Lopes, Maroon 5, Chemical brothers and others.
D_2 had three concerts abroad: London 2002, Vienna 2003, Kiev 2003

D_2 album “2002” was sold in 63 000 copies (СD, МС) up to 31.12.2003
D_2 album “Ice Girl” is the best selling musical product on the Bulgarian market in the last 7 years with more than 100 000 copies (СD, МС) up to 31.12.2003

May, 2005 - D_2 put an end to their work with Dicho Hristov

Dec 2, 2005г – Dejan Kamenov was officially announced to be D_2's new frontman.

D_2 noticed the 22-year-old Dejan Kamenov when he participated in Star Academy, TV reality show. In fact D_2 gave an audition to many singers from the country and abroad before pitching on Dejan. Series of concerts and demo studio recordings followed with Dido. The examination period lasted for a few month and D_2 members unanimously voted to pick Dejan as group's frontman.

"Tuk i sega" (Here and Now) single is the first production of D_2 with Dejan.
The song is composed and arranged by D_2 band. Text by Alexander Petrov and D_2. Group's new album pilot single "Tuk i sega" directs the whole new sound and progress in D_2's style.
