Вокалист Corey Taylor в лирике нового альбома Slipknot "All Hope Is Gone" использовал много религиозных, библейских и нумерологических тем. Он признался, что формулировал эти идеи в течение двух лет: «Когда мы добрались до сочинения материала и свединения его воедино, мне было что сказать. Материал был грубым и, в то же время, мощным. Ну второй в году, я сам удивился. Такой вот Лиам продуктивный. Но на мой взгляд новый альбом ооооочень сильно уступает этому. Заметно, что он поторопился.
