Rarely does a band earn the acclaim from their first release to pave the way for their future after being together for only 4 years. Even rarer is it to find a band that can do so with everlasting passion and aggression. With their debut release ‘Keeping Nothing’, Australia’s fastest rising metal band ANTONAMASIA, have done just that.

With each review comes the vindicated spotlight of the band’s goth-iconic frontwoman, 20 year old Cassie Dallas. A vocal force second to none, Dallas delivers dark and intricate stories of love and desperation with a voice of ”sheer damn power”. That which can only be described as a perfect contradiction is the brutally heart-wrenching overtones of the rest of the band. Almost immediately after recording their debut release in January 2006 with 2 time ARIA nominated producer dw Norton (Superheist, Daysend, Vanden), ANTONAMASIA signed with esteemed Metal/Hard Rock label Faultline Records. Helmed by Norton, Faultline Records released a highly anticipated ‘Keeping Nothing’ in October 2006 which quickly elevated the band to towering heights. With immediate attention from Triple J’s Full Metal Racket and online radio stations such as Hard Rock Radio Live, ‘Keeping Nothing’ has seen high rotation since its release. The following month their debut effort saw the band among the top 5 at the 2006 Musicoz Awards when ”Asphyxiation Theory” was nominated in Best Metal/Hardcore category.
After 4 solid years of touring and sharing the stage with the biggest names in Australian metal and their 27 date 2006 Keeping Nothing Tour, ANTONAMASIA have, in a very short time, proven that they possess the talent and undying work ethic that will take them to the top and far beyond.

У них вроде пересобрался состав перед выходом этого альбома если я не ошибаюсь, раньше у них вокалистка была которая мне вообще не нравилась но она покинула банду и основным вокалистом стал Дамьен Дауш, раньше он играл на гитаре и был на бэк-вокале, что касается альбома то он ахуенный
Очень интересная группа, которая смешала много всего, что любо моему уху. Главное, что с шугейзом не переборщили.
Первые два трека прямо сильно вставили, потом с 3-го по 8-й трек идёт какое-то жуткое шугейзное болото, которое тебя затягивает, но не особо нравится, и вдруг с 9-го трека начинается адская движуха на альбоме. Прямо до самого конца, хотя альбом явно затянут. Вот если бы выкинуть из него это "болото", то получился бы крутейший альбом на пред-элитном уровне.
Буду ещё не раз его переслушивать, скорее всего, он попадёт в итоговый топ за год.
От их последних релизов я очень сильно плевался, моё разочарование было огромным, так как они были одной из моих самых любимых групп, когда мне было в районе 20-ти лет. Потом года так с 2008-го они начали выпускать шляпы вместо альбомов, и я моя надежда услышать что-то достойное от них таяла с каждым новым релизом.
И вот он нежданчик! Новый альбом восхитительный! Снова появился скрим, хоть это и не Алекс, но в этом скриме что-то есть, он меня притягивает своей нестандартностью.
С первого же трека альбом затянул меня так, что я аж прослушал его 3 раза подряд. Понравилось вообще всё!
Мощный претендент от меня на высокие места в топе.
Здесь по-моему ребята из разных известных коллективов собрались.
Это бывшие Verses. На сайте их ep лежит 18 года. Помню дебютировали достаточно интересно. Passive и Nerve до сих пор в плэйлисте всплывает. Этот релиз пока не распробовал, по первому ощущению слишком много хардроковщины. Ухо пока зацепилось за припев в hUNGOVER yOU.
Не могу разделить восторг в предыдущем комментарии. По мне,так абсолютно ничего интересного не услышал,от слова совсем...даже выделить чего-либо не смог. Предыдущие три альбома тоже ничем не зацепили... лучше ещё раз Let The Ocean Take Me (2014) или This Could Be Heartbreak (2016) переслушаю.
